Barry Keoghan is one proud boyfriend.
On Nov. 8, his girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter received her first Grammy nominations, seven in total, including nods for Album of the Year for Short n' Sweet as well as Best New Artist.
"Brilliant, I know," the Saltburn actor said on the Jess Cagle Show podcast that day. "No, I’m really, really happy for her, honestly, and I got to get on the phone soon."
Sabrina was with her Short n' Sweet tour crew on their bus when the Grammy nominations were announced. She shared her own reaction to her nods on Instagram.
"I don’t know how that’s possible," she exclaimed tearfully at one moment, clutching a fluffy pink blanket.
In his interview, Barry commended Sabrina, 25, for her work ethic.
"I'm in awe watching her work and how committed and the standards that she sets," the 32-year-old said. "Especially being on that music video. She knows the vision, she knows what she wants."
Sabrina is nominated for the 2024 Grammy Award for Song of The Year for "Please Please Please"—whose music video stars Barry.
"He loved the song," the singer said about her boyfriend in an interview with Variety published in August. "He's obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that. I don't want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special."
Barry and Sabrina went public with their romance in February, when she was a regular opener on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. The actor was spotted watching his girlfriend perform at one of their shows in Singapore a month later and this October, he was seen supporting her at her own Short n' Sweet tour concert in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Look back at Sabrina and Barry's road to romance...
After sparking romance rumors in December 2023, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan fueled dating speculation when they were photographed together on a date night in Los Angeles less than two months later.
The Saltburn star made his relationship with the "Espresso" singer Instagram official by commenting on a video of her performing a duet with Taylor Swift in Sydney, Australia. Sabrina had opened for the Grammy winner for weeks on her Eras Tour but was unable to perform her regular set that day due to bad weather.
Barry would later go on to meet up with Sabrina during the tour.
The pair attended Vanity Fair's 2024 Oscars after-party together but did not walk the red carpet together.
They then made their romance red carpet official at the 2024 Met Gala.
The "Feather" artist celebrated her 25th birthday with The Banshees of Inisherin alum, friends and a Leonardo DiCaprio meme.
If their relationship wasn't official enough already, Sabrina and Barry hard-launched through the singer's music video for "Please, Please, Please." Later, the Disney Channel alum detailed what the moment meant for her.
"I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation," she gushed to Variety in August 2024. "So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
